Laura Zimmermann is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and the Department of International Affairs at the University of Georgia. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from the University of Oxford. Her fields of interest are Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Political Economy. In particular, her research focuses on the economic and political impacts of large government initiatives like anti-poverty programs or tax reforms in developing countries as well as on the intra-household allocation of resources among household members.
