Ketki Sheth

Dr. Sheth is a development and labor economist whose research focuses on understanding the drivers of gender gaps and three key dimensions of human development emphasized in international development: financial access, health, and education. Dr. Sheth primarily utilizes field and lab experiments in low and middle income countries to identify causal relationships motivated by theory and policy, often in partnership with development practitioners. She has been the primary investigator on randomized controlled trials in India, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. She is a faculty affiliate of the Center for Effective Global Action and an active contributor to the East Africa Social Science Translation Collaborative, a research network seeking to build social science scholarship in East Africa. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee and earned her PhD in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
