Nursena Aksunger

Nursena Aksunger is a third-year PhD candidate in Economics at Vrije University Amsterdam, having completed her PhD training at the Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the impact of environmental factors, such as financial fluctuations, health shocks, and migration, on mental health. She is also working on the role of genes & environment interplay in shaping mental disorders. She holds a BSc. in Economics from Istanbul Technical University and an MSc. in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
