Elisa Vilorio Medina is a Ph.D. candidate and Fulbright Scholar in Economics at Florida International University. Before her Ph.D., she was the Deputy Director of the Foreign Exchange Reserve Management at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, where she was responsible for the quantitative, risk, analytics, and investment strategies of the Foreign Reserve Portfolio (Approx. USD 14b). Her dissertation focuses on the impacts of exogenous shocks in macroeconomic variables such as inflation and exchange rate, using Structural Vector Autoregression models (SVAR). Ms. Vilorio Medina holds a Master of Science in Finance from the IAE Aix en Provence in France, and a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra
