My name is Sakshi Bhayana, Currently, I am a PhD. Scholar at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and an Assistant professor with an IP University College, Delhi, India. My academic background and experience are completely aligned to the requirements of the position. I have published an articles on '' Sustainable Development Goals, Going Beyond GDP: India's Case" for the Indian Journal of Economics and Development.
Also a published a paper titled Global Value Chain Linkages and Employment: An Empirical Assessment for India's Manufacturing Sector for Global Business Review (Scopus and ABDC Indexed Journal).
A Bachelors in Economics from one of the top most colleges in the country: Hansraj College and a Masters in Economics from the Shiv Nadar University , has honed my analytical skillset and ability to conduct extensive qualitative and quantitative research. I have worked with Barclays Shared Services as a Senior Analyst in Global Analytics Unit.
I have been a consistent performer since school, scoring a first division in Hansraj College for my Bachelors in Economics, securing the first rank during my Bachelors in Education and having consistently secured second position during my Masters. Shiv Nadar University, with its world -class faculty, has a played a pivotal role in preparing me for a career in research. During these recent years as PhD Scholar, I have leveraged software platforms such as STATA and SAS and R for research papers and have conducted extensive research on Econometrics related models.
I am Pooja Bhatia, a PhD Scholar at Indian Institute of Management – Kozhikode (IIM K). I have previously worked in the service industry. I have worked for a broking firm in my hometown. The ups and downs of the stock market introduced me to applied economics. My passion for economics drove me to academics. Observing government policies and their impact on day-to-day business intrigues me.
I am a second-year Ph.D. student from the Department of Economics at Shiv Nadar University. My research interests lie in applied development economics with a focus on education, gender, and political economy.
Kumar Ashutosh is a third year PhD student at IFMR Graduate School of Business in Krea University, India. His research interest includes issues in Economics & Crime, Health Economics, Economics of Education and Political Economy. He is passionate about Causal Evidence based research studies. His current research is focused on the intersection of Gender, Education and Crime. Previously, he has contributed to the literature of causal impact of the lockdown policies on out-of-pocket health expenditure by households in India. He has also co-authored a working paper for the impact evaluation of participation in micro-finance bodies in the Meghalaya state of India. He holds dual master's degree in economics and mathematics.
Laura Aquino is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics at Boston University. Her research focuses on development, gender, and labor economics. Laura's current research focuses on married women’s property laws and financial inclusion in Mexico. She received her B.A. in Economics and B.A. in Law from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
Mohit Arora (he/him) is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His primary areas of teaching and research interest are in Macroeconomics and Economic Development. He is also interested in International Finance and Economic History. Prior to joining the doctoral program at the University of Massachusetts, he did an M.Phil. in Economics at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, JNU and an M.A. in Economics at the University of Hyderabad.
Deepthi Sara Anil is a fifth year PhD candidate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur- India. Her research interest primarily lies in Development Economics using applied micro techniques. For her PhD dissertation she focusses on the economics of health and education. She has worked on the political economy of health as well as gendered health impacts within households. Her current work seeks to understand the effect of local crimes on student learning. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Hyderabad Central University, India and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Madras Christian College, India.
Nursena Aksunger is a third-year PhD candidate in Economics at Vrije University Amsterdam, having completed her PhD training at the Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the impact of environmental factors, such as financial fluctuations, health shocks, and migration, on mental health. She is also working on the role of genes & environment interplay in shaping mental disorders. She holds a BSc. in Economics from Istanbul Technical University and an MSc. in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
I am a graduate of Economics and Development Studies from Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. In addition, I possess proficiency in management from the prestigious Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered). I always long to work for an organization that recognizes diligence and dedication in achieving its objectives without neglecting that of its employees in the 21st century and sustaining it. Reading, cycling, listening to music and travelling interest me. I have had professional experiences in teaching, procurement, customer service and public service. While occupying these roles, I displayed diverse skills in communication, analytics, time management, management and leadership.
Anshika is currently a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Economics at the Shiv Nadar University.
Her research interest is in developmental economics with a special focus on issues related to health, labor and education. Her work focuses on evaluating the long term impact of cash transfer programs and addressing the targeting issues related to them. Currently she is working on impact evaluation on policies adopted by government in health and education sector. She is also interested in the trends in labor outcomes of women and how they evolve with childcare needs.
