Mrignyani is a PhD student at the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Economics at University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. Her dissertation focuses on food policy in developing countries. Her research interest lies in investigating consumer behavior and implementing interventions within food environments to promote improved nutrition. Prior to this she was a Research Analyst at International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) evaluating agricultural-nutrition linkages. She has a master’s degree in economics from TERI School of Advanced Studies.
