Sivadasan is currently a Ph.D. scholar in the economics department at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.

His research interest lies at the confluence of development economics and household finance disciplines. More specifically, I work on the determinants of the household decision to use the formal financial product and services and its welfare effect on the household's financial well-being.
