Helen Burkhardt

Helen Burkhardt is an Economics PhD Candidate at Cornell University in the Department of Economics and the Brooks School of Public Policy. Her research interests lie broadily in applied microeconomics with a focus on topics in labor and health economics. In her job market paper, she explores the relationship between caregiving and labor market outcomes by looking at the impact of parental health shocks of varying severity on adult children. She was previously a Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and recieved her BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
