Parthasarathi Sahu is a doctoral scholar and Senior Research Fellow in Economics at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Roorkee, where he is working on his dissertation, Essays on Indian Urban Agglomeration. His research lies at the intersection of urban, environmental, and development economics, with a focus on India. He studies how urbanization mediates the relationship between climate change, economic growth, and fiscal policy, using time-series methods such as ARDL, NARDL, and VECM, panel econometrics, and satellite-based data including VIIRS nighttime lights and the Global Human Settlement Layer. He has presented his work at the 13th World Congress of the Econometric Society in Seoul, the ADBI-SAU Conference on Climate Change and Resilience in South Asia.
