Maitri Punjabi is a PhD student in Economics at Michigan State University with research interests in energy policy, development, & political economy. Her current research focuses on consumer responses to electricity subsidies in India & behavioral frictions that attenuate the response. She is also interested in topics related to good governance & efficient public service delivery. Prior to joining the PhD program, Maitri worked on impact evaluations & supported fieldwork activities in the international education sector. She has a BS in Mathematical Decision Sciences & Economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
