Raghav Raghunathan is a Ph.D. candidate in Development Economics at Wageningen University & Research. His dissertation studies how poor rural households plan under uncertainty: a Tanzania RCT (Co-PI) on drought-tolerant maize and index insurance adoption, a Malawi study of budget-planning boards and lean-season labour supply, and an analysis of Indian cash-transfer programmes and women's labour supply. Before his Ph.D. he spent close to a decade in Indian agricultural markets and policy, including at NCDEX, the World Bank, and IFPRI. He holds an M.P.P. from UC Berkeley (Fulbright–Nehru Scholar) and is based in Bangalore.
