Tanzir Rahman Khan is a PhD Candidate in Economics at McMaster University. His research interests are in behavioral and experimental economics, applied game theory, decision-making, and development-oriented applications of economic research. His dissertation studies how people cooperate, form beliefs, and respond to information and incentives in strategic environments.

Before and during his doctoral studies, Tanzir has built a broad applied research and professional background across academia, NGOs, and the private sector. He worked as a Research Associate at the James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, where he contributed to food-security and public-health research, including survey work with Rohingya refugee communities. He also has experience in the banking sector through roles at Scotiabank and CIBC. Tanzir is also a passionate educator, having taught undergraduate economics as a lecturer in Bangladesh and later as an instructor and teaching assistant at McMaster University. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Saskatchewan and a BSS in Economics from the University of Dhaka.
