
Apurav Bhatiya is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Birmingham. He finished his PhD in Economics at the University of Warwick in 2022. His research sits at the intersection of political economy and migration. He is affiliated with CAGE at the University of Warwick and is an invited researcher at J-PAL. His research uses a mix of text-as-data methods, administrative data, and field experiments, drawing on research from the UK and India, with a strong focus on policy-relevant questions.
