Azharul Islam is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics at Penn State Harrisburg. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas at Dallas. His teaching and research interests focus on macroeconomics, particularly business cycles, inflation expectations, and household inflation disagreement. He is also interested in how AI can enhance teaching and learning and inform economic decision-making. Originally from Bangladesh, he is committed to inclusive mentoring and supporting students as they navigate academic and professional pathways in economics.
